San Juan Capistrano Kitchen & Living Area Expansion

These clients purchased a beautiful hillside home with a backyard looking over San Juan Capistrano down to Dana Point.  There was only one problem, you couldn't see any of it from inside the house!  (Well, OK, there was another problem:  the kitchen was closed off and tiny.)

We came in with the engineering and design team to expand the backside of the home by 5', with an almost all glass wall.  There is a new bi-fold door with a transom overhead in the living area and an opening to the new kitchen.  In the kitchen, we reconfigured the appliances, added an island and a new very large window at the kitchen counter that overlooks the breathtaking view.

This home will be so light and bright when it is complete!
