Pool Home Great Room Reno

We were approached by a young family who were mid-reno on a new home purchase and needed help sorting out their ideas and obtaining a permit.

The new larger home has a fantastic great room with space above (read: a low ceiling) that connects to a fantastic backyard and pool.  The opportunity for indoor/outdoor living was very apparent, as was the need to lighten up the dark interior area. 

 

We worked with them to layout the space more functionally, removing a post, covering up the old fireplace in a pinch point and installing a new direct vent fireplace in the corner looking out to the yard.  Large triple track sliders were added for direct connection to the great entertaining yard and increased natural light.
