Dover Shores Dream Home Renovation
This mid-century modern home was purchased by a family that loved it's bones but wanted to expand on it and create a modern farmhouse oasis with more room for the children to grow.

The project involved moving the garage and taking over the existing garage and exterior courtyard as a great room containing a living room and kitchen. The existing living room became a primary retreat and the existing kitchen became a dining room. In the end, the entire house changed (except for 2 existing bedrooms). Plus, a 4th bedroom was added!

As the project progressed, the expansion expanded as well. The original design for a front porch became interior space and the living room started reaching toward the setback so that it could grow.
San Clemente Mid-Century Modern Makeover
This dream project offered the opportunity to work with clients who were moving to SoCal from the Bay Area and out of there Eames home. We worked together to give this lackluster ranch style home a Mid-Century modern presence and an indoor/outdoor style.

The new front entry portico is a shed roof with exposed rafters and wood posts that leads to a welcoming a bright glass door. Nestled behind the cedar plank wall are a new bathroom and office for the couple.

The living room beyond was completely redone to feature a multi-slide wall to the back deck and a corner fireplace.
1962 Ranch Home Facelift
Another project in Mesa del Mar, this home sits right on entry to the neighborhood and draws a ton of compliments for its attention to detail. We stripped away all of the old "cottage" elements to modernize the facade, added a killer 4' wide front door made of natural wood to match the new wood posts, layered on unique lighting and topped it off with a coat of fresh paint.

The interior of the home got a make-over as well with a new walk-in closet for the primary and custom home touches throughout, like built-in shelves with a secret office entry and a waterfall table to finish off the kitchen counters.
Sunroom with a View
This detached condo in the Pacific Island Village development high above Laguna Niguel has stunning views of the valley from Saddleback to the Pacific. The client wanted to take advantage of them by adding a sunroom of more windows, less walls.

A lot of blood sweat and tears went into getting this design approved by the Homeowner's Association, the city and one angry neighbor. But with a little compromise in the corner on the left, we were able to complete the project and make (almost) everyone happy.

This is such an incredible transformation for a 160 square foot addition.
